Job Title: Head Coach/Assistant Principal
London Dance Cheer Academy based in north London
Approximately 10-15 hours per week
The London Dance and Cheer Academy (LDCA) run North London’s first and only school cheerleading league, offering an inter school competitive Cheerleading platform. LDCA bring cheerleading to the local community, inspiring teamwork and confidence in all young people.
LDCA teach Cheerleading and Dance classes at various schools in Central & North London. We work with many prestigious independent schools to provide their students with Dance, Dance Fitness and Cheerleading classes both as a part of the school PE curriculum and as an after-school club. We have been running for 10 years and pride ourselves on our inclusive approach to teaching with a track record of developing self-confidence and offering a platform for talented students to excel
LDCA are looking for an experienced senior coach to join the LDCA coaching team. The position allows for full creativity in choreography and class planning. To liaise with head office directly. We are looking for the candidate to develop all existing and proposed aspects of our dance and cheer programme based in north London.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, confident and professional, and have experience working with children. LDCA operates classes for 40 weeks each year with additional weekend workshops, holiday camps and league events.
Job Description for Cheer Programme: The Head Coach is responsible for teaching numerous cheer and dance classes to various squads and clubs in schools around north London before, during and after school hours. They will also be in charge of designing routines for the LDCA league and adapting to the abilities of the class, with a focus on being inclusive.
Must have an understanding for the LDCA inclusive ethos. They need to be knowledgeable and skilled in tumbling and stunting to ensure the safety of all program participants. They need to have the ability to work with young students as well as teenagers. Be professional, organized and a dedicated coach. The Head Coach is also responsible for supervising the team at all league events and additional performances.
The Head Coach should be educated to minimum level 2 for tumbling, stunts and tosses. Must demonstrate competitive cheerleading experience within their CV.
Job Description for Dance Programme:
To be able to teach street dance to primary and secondary school aged children. To create a supportive and kind environment for all levels to excel. To produce exciting choreography to be performance ready. with fun and engaging activities for all abilities and mixed girls and boys.

- Background in gymnastics.
Additional classes available depending on skill set and experience.
The remuneration package will include an excellent rate of pay for the role, expenses, uniforms as needed, costs for continued training and development, holiday pay and pension.
