LDCA October 2019 Half Term this year was held at WAC Arts, Belsize Park in one of their beautiful dance studios. The camp ran for three days and included cheerleading, dance, multiple stunts and a fantastic inclusive workshop by the lovely Emma.
After all the students got to know each other, they had a warmup and the day started with an exciting and fantastic group stunt:
They then broke up into small groups and the students created their own choreography, here is a dance by one of the groups:
The students also had a chance to design their own LDCA T-shirt, here are some of the finalists. The winning t-shirt will be printed:
We started with a group pyramid:
We then had an inclusive workshop led by Emma who is a fellow Chicken Shed graduate and works at The Britt School.
We ended the camp with another daring group stunt called basket tosses:
Ellie LDCA Principal said:
‘What a special few days (as always) seeing so many great cheerleaders! Some old, some new, some first time trying out this special team sport!
We are so impressed by every single one of you!”
